Spare bulb kit

hi everyone, I'm going on a European driving tour in May and am having trouble finding a suitable spare bulb kit. Could any of you regular European travelers let my know which kit you use and where you purchased it from. I have a 2010 Gen 2 Carrera S. Thanks.

From all the relevant websites it seems that carriage of a bulb kit is recommended and not compulsory?

Many of us just take a standard bulb kit from Halfords, AA, RAC etc. You could ask your Porsche Centre to put together a genuine replacement bulb kit, but it will prohibitively expensive and many require specialist tools & training to replace anyway.
Regards,
Clive.

Halfords about £10
no need to get anything fancier
i looked at Porsce bulbs. £180 per headlight bulb. Crazy.

You will no doubt be using a ferry to get to the continent & if you don't get sorted prior to your trip, go to the on board shop which will have a bulb kit for sale, as well as the rest of the stuff we now need for a Euro trip ??

Aren't they mostly LEDs these days, which have a far longer life and are more robust in structure and certainly at the rear have multiple emitting elements. Aside from the headlights, there seem to be LED conversion kits around for many models.

Do you really need spare bulbs? I drove for 6 days last September through France, Germany, a bit of Austria and Switzerland without a rear number plate (and therefore no GB sticker) and was never stopped. The replacement plate eventually caught up with me at a hotel in Switzerland.

I do always carry a warning triangle and hi-viz - i consider these to be common sense safety and have them in each car.
