Do you think Porsche are supporting the classic Porsche market with spares and back up. Afterall they want the cars at the shows.

Right I have to get this off my chest it has been there for a while but I am coming out!! to say this , what else did you think I was going to say.

Right I was in Germany a few months back and noticed it so much I have say some thing. I think Porsche are rubbish at supporting us with spare parts.!!! there I said it.

It' s true. I was at this show and you can get any part you want for a Merc and I mean any part you want for a washer to and engine case. For good money. Keeps the car on the road.
Right I hear you say the costs involved. Yes I agree at the moment Porsche have let things slip so it would be an up hill battle to get it all sorted. But what if they made these parts how many do you think they would sell.

For the 356 and 912

Pistons and barrels
911/2 door pockets
911/2 Front indicator lamps
Cranks
Heads
Cases
356 Drums
Dash tops 911/2
bumpers 911/2 pre inpact

the list could go on and on but these are the big items that are well needed. I am sure that if some of these itmes were made they would be snaped up to put on the shelf. I know I would buy some stuff and hold on to it. In time unless you have loads of money your Porsche will be running a VW beetle engine as it is cheeper. So what do Porsche want to do???????

Have Porsche' s turn up a shows with a Beetle engine in them .... is that then a replica!!!!

I asked a similar question many months ago. I agree that what is available is not great - however, a lot of the bits that used to be available for Mercs are drying up - Daimler Chrysler influence - so we are not alone. Unfortunately it all comes down to economics.
