If the weather is like years before you will wish you had one of http://www.travelworldrv.co.uk/RVDetails.asp?idVehicle=260&Type=New...[][][].
Now where's your spirit of adventure..??!
The last time I went, it was lovely and sunny all weekend and I couldn't work out, on first arriving, why so many people seemed to have small cordless drills/screwdrivers... ...until I went to hammer my first tent peg into the ground that is...[]
I'm hoping that the weather is not like last year's torrential rain - I'll be sleeping in the car in that case[]
I have done about 25k miles in my S2 in the last two years, and it hasn't let me down once. (Not quite true - the immobiliser packed up on me very shortly after I bought it.) On that basis, if I was taking my car abroad, I'd be taking little more than a good tool kit and the very common culprits (DME relay and some fuses.)
(I do find that an AVO meter and a length of bulb wire is a very useful thing to have in the car at all times. And a gas-powered soldering iron. The majority of breakdowns I have encountered have been electrical - counting amongst cars that have been well maintained.)
Oli.
