The car is due a service, so I went on to the Eurocarparts website to order some NGK plugs and discovered a brand called Denso.

Apparently the Denso plugs are made from Iridium rather than platinum.

I know plugs aren't expensive, but was wondering if anyone had experience of the Denso plugs (£8.23 each) and any thoughts on whether they are worth the premium over the NGK (£2.05each)

Not worth the difference in cost IMHO.

I just bought four NGK plugs on ebay for £7 so there are cheaper suppliers out there.

Some of the guys on the 944 forum have had bad experiences with the iridum plugs, they apparently have a slight propensity of breaking up, bits then score the bore - seriously bad news for the 2.5 / 2.7 / 3.0 engines.
