Hi Guys

My 99 996 has a cdr22 head unit, with speakers in the doors, factory fit, they are a little tired, I know they are rubbish speakers but 2 questions
1 I found new speakers on eBay but they are a different shape to mine, the box is deeper at the bottom to mine and longer will these fit?

2 I have a set of focal 130vrs speakers, would these be compatible with mine

Thanks guys

The dash and rear side speakers are 11cm, which is an odd size. The door speakers are 13cm, so no real problem. This is what I did with mine: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/fb.asp?m=402367

I used 10cm speakers for the dash, and fitted them to grill blanks. JMGarage in Christchurch do some adapters for Alpine speakers, which are supposed to be good.

On my Carrera I used 10cm MB Quarts Coaxials. MB Quarts come with brackets that with a little modification, fit in where the old speakers used to sit. Just line the speaker aperture in the speaker grille with a strip of velcro and stick the other bit of the velcro on the speaker bracket and then place in the hole and fold the tabs over and screw 2 of them into the original holes for the speaker.
