Speaker Upgrade

Hi all,

I'm sure upgrading speakers must have been covered by now, but a search is coming up with nothing.

So what is the favourite speaker upgrade for a 964. There are some suitable (I think) rear shelf ones from JBL on ebay right now, but I'm struggling to find replacements for the front doors.

Is it best to ditch the seperate tweater and get a combined speaker for the 5,1/4" unit or should you replace both?

I have a decent head unit now but don't think the old speakers are good enough. I'm not interested in Lime Green cones or blowing out the windows, just looking to get some decent sound. (What I can hear over the G pipe that is!)

Any help will be appreciated,

Found the Infinity door ones on ebay, as well as some JBL's for the rear, will get them today.

No probs Bob, glad to help.

Part number for the rear speaker frame (for oval speakers so you can use the original covers) is 944.555.159.00.

You'll need two.

I used 'Rainbow' speakers (seperates) in the front doors and they sound very good but I have not had chance to swap the cross over unit yet. rear speakers are yet to be done.
