Speccing the new Cayenne

I've had a call from our local Guildford OPC to spec our Cayenne S for March build.

Out of interest has anyone got/had experience of tinted glass on the Cayenne? I'm thinking of basalt black paintwork this time, and smoked glass might look the business as long as it's not too dark. Apparently they only do the rear window and rear passenger windows, not the front driver and passenger windows or front screen. Does this look odd? I'm assured by the salesman it doesn't. And does it make the cabin feel gloomy, especially with black upholstery?

Feedback appreciated.

I had a Cayenne with the tinted window option on a dark paintwork colour and it looked really good. I was worried it would look a bit gansta-rap, but it doesn't. I would spec this option if I was ordering one now.

Hello,I specced the Tinted rear windows and sunblinds to stop my kids getting dazzled and cooked in hot sunshine,i think they look fine,my "S" is Basalt too, looks great clean, pig to keep it that way!!!Worth the hassle though![;)]

PSWhen i pull over during a long solo trip, i put the driver/passenger seat forward jump in the back eat my sandwich and read the paper with my feet up in complete privacy, like being a limo![:D][:D]

we had a Basalt Black with rear tint & black leather, it looked the business (especially when it was clean) looks odd without tint IMO

OK team - thanks for input, have now made final spec:

Cayenne S Tiptronic
Basalt Black
Black interior
Privacy Glass
Air Suspension
Sunroof
Park Assist
20" Sport Technics
Multi function Steering wheel
Sat Nav/Phone
Cruise Control
Bose
Park Assist
Porsche VTS
Apparently you can now get a spare wheel as well as the Bose option which would have been useful when our current Cayenne had a tyre stabbed, so have ordered that as well.

Amazing how easily a £47k car can top out at over £60k!

The spare wheel is a 2 person lift - according to the guide that showed us around the Leipzig factory.
I understand your wanting it though [&:] I'd hate to feel stranded as well.

Yes, I'd probably still be a wuss and call out Porsche Assistance to change the wheel!
