Specialist recommendation

Fen

Non Member
A chap who stays in the same weekday accommodation as me is looking for recommendation for somewhere to get the brakes overhauled on his Boxster, also a scratch in the paint repaired. He lives in Northampton when he's now working away - anyone got any suggestions?

TIA

Fen,

I suspect the best place for the brakes is OPC Silverstone. Not far from Northampton and a lot nearer than any of the independants.

The paint scratch might be just up the right alley for Paul Smith (aka Diver944) who has his own ChipsAway franchise in Northampton. He might even see this thread.

Regards

Dave

Dur! I can't believe I didn't think of Paul for the scratch.

Cheers for the other suggestions; I have used Bob Watson in the past myself and was happy with him, but (in common with the OPC I expect) not exactly cheap as I recall.

I use 2 people, Neil Garner www.neilgarner.co.uk
and ProMax http://www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/
Have been more than happy with the work from Neil he always has a nice range of cars in that makes me want to swap [:D]. Promax also are very friendly, infact I have mine booked in for a waterpump with them next month.

I am happy with both, it just depends were I am working as to who to goto !

I use 2 guys in adjacent units over in Rushden nr Northampton for all servicing ( Templetons Garage ) and paint spaying needs. They are both Sports Car specialists and soooo much cheaper than your OPC. I bought my Boxster S from Craig at Templetons and to be honest would take my car anywhere else as he does such a good job. He has done most things from a 36,000 service to installing a new handbrake and rear bumper & spoiler for me so brakes would be no problem.

The nit next door does any spray work I want ( I.e my hardtop, bumper and spoilere and again was (a) reasonable on price and (b) did a great job.
