Hi, are there any recommended Porsche specialists in the Glasgow / West Coast area?

The only independant garage I would recommend is Owen Ferry Automotive (Paisley).
Dedicated german marque specialist.
Outstanding quality (and price) and not a bull merchant, guy is a genius !.used to be quite high up in Deutch tune (spelling) years ago
Owen is the ONLY guy I would trust to work on any of my cars.

I have used George Morrison in Rutherglen & Autotune (I think...) in Shotts. Both did reasonable jobs at fair prices on my 993 and 994 respectively, not regular servicing as I did that myself but good for annual inspections, a clutch and wheel bearing I think. The guy in Shotts used to compete in some 944 series and worked for PCGB for several years, helped me set up my KW kit on the 944 when I got a bit lost.........wish I had kept his details!

I have posted all the Independents contact details before but cannot find the link .....Owen used to work at George Morrisons along time ago did not know he was out on his own ,There is also a guy Martin who also worked for GM and he is out on his own but no idea where he is based .

Yep, Peter at Motortune in Shotts is the business.

If you can't face the twenty minute drive though, you can try RPM in Maryhill"”right next to the train station. Having used both, I much prefer Motortune.

The only problem with going to Shotts is there is nothing to do once you get there .....you could of course go visit your friend's in the jail[][][]

I have to say that I've used Peter McAnna at Motortune for years.

Great guy, certainly worth the couple of extra miles to get there.

Yes ..but would give plenty off notice as they would have to have a spare ramp ready
