I was watching the "speed championship" on sunday and looking on the website theres no 944's running in any of the classes, is there a reason for this?

The only one i could think of is that theyre not competative?

Class P4 is upto 160bhp with class P3 being 161-205bhp

I cant get my head around why the rules cut out the 2.5 944 by only 3(?)bhp! putting it into a class where it cant be competative? The 2.5 924 being 160bhp is allowed in the P4 class [:(]

I really do fancy having ago at hillclimbing with a 944 at hand it would be the easy choice.
 
Hi, as far as I can remember the 944 was given special dispensation to run in P4.
There have been a few over the years, not sure about this year as I haven't been on the hills....however this coming weekend is Longleat, there are plenty of porkers running there, but no '44s ..............924,924s,968cs,911's (loads),914,914/6 (mine),
If your'e around it could well be worth a visit. most porsches running on the saturday-but us hardy dudes will be doing sat and sunday.
If you are really considering doing the hills..stop dithering, go for it. it really is a good sport.
Also I have a competition rear spoiler and front splitter for 944 if youre modding your car,
