Speed yellow boxster s, WOW

Don't know if this counts as advice and it's only my opinion: I'd have to say it's not my taste, and I wonder if its configuration would suit many owners or insurers? An individual interpretation, possibly, but could you live with it...? Maybe ultimately that is reflected in the price?

Have to say it's not my cup of tea either. I don't think the conversion work that has been done suits the car. it looks a bit chav.

i bought a 2.5 boxster in june with 3 years warranty and am very happy with it BUT ive just spotted this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&item=230036087082&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

would i be mad to sell mine and get the yellow one, does it sound too cheap? can anyone give me some advice please?

Thanks

I'm sure you are looking for advice on the car on ebay and not whether the colour is right for you [;)] so hopefully this will help:

Firstly;
>>>would i be mad to sell mine and get the yellow one, does it sound too cheap?
It is on RESERVE, so you don't know the price he is willing to sell at as yet... that is just the starting the bidding price.

Also the car is currently place in the Porsche > Parts section of ebay; tell him to correct that and place it in the Porsche > Cars section then he has to include all sorts of details like, number of owner, V5 doc present, MOT date, date of purchase, manual/auto, etc... hide your email address when posting the question, just in case it is setup to collect valid email addresses.

Finally, didn't the 'FULL AERO BODY KIT FACTORY FITTED' come with a permanently attached rear spoiler? I know the Aero II does maybe the original aero kit didn't(?)

youre all right, i just always wanted a porsche in speed yellow but once i stepped outside and saw my red baby this morning i knew i couldnt swap.

thanks guys

I asked him the question about the aero kit; he got angry as he thought I was shouting by typing in CAPS, when I pointed out that I just copied and pasted what he had put on ebay he didn't have much of an answer... he also stated that he specially asked the factory to not install the spoiler because he thought it looks ugly; oh and the reason it is in the parts section is because he made a mistake and ebay will not let him move it to the cars section. Also when I asked why he hasn't included the details which are required in the cars section he stated that there are too many extras and that is why he has not put each and every one on the auction.

I would stay away from this one...

Porsche would not have agreed to dispense with fitting the rear spoiler; from the Techquipment brochure for the car, it states that the front and rear sections of the aerokit cannot be fitted in isolation for aerodynamic reasons. I'd be very suspicious of this car - not least if the owner doesn't know the basics!

I agree - factory fit would have had front and back. No way would they fit one without the other.
The only part of the Aerokit you could spec seperately was the sill covers (confusingly called "Rocker Covers" in the pricelist of the time...[&:])

YUK! YUK! YUK!

Looks like it ram raided Halfords and all the boy-racer parts stuck on when it reversed out!

Why would someone do that to a Boxster....is there not a law against it or something?

Since you love SY have a look at this one on PH. It didn't take long to sell[8D]

BTW it wasn't mine[;)]

I'm not a Boxster owner so you're welcome to dismiss my comments.

Had a look at this post because I'm going through a yellow period. Lots of good advice here.

My view for what its worth is that if you want an individual car, then first stop should be one of the special editions or a car with factory fitted options. You can then sell it if needs must and there shouldn't be a penalty on the insurance.

Guards Red is okay anyway.

Hi new here but thought I would also point out the rear bumper is the '03 facelift type whereas the car is not... You can see the electric rear spoiler doesn't fit against the bumper properly!
