Speedline Genuine or not?

I have been offered a set of recently refurbed Speedlines from a 993 RS

They have no "speedline for Porsche" etched on the rim, apparently because they have been refurbed

From what I have seen of them, they look the same as what I have seen on the 993RS but I have no idea what I am looking at.

They have a part number (which I should have written down) or what looked like a part number, starting with SL which I presume means speedline.

But I am sure the centre cap hole looks smaller than other Porsche wheels, is this the case with 993 RS Speedlines?

What else should I look for?

Apparently there is another model of Speedline wheel, made by speedline, which looks similar... anyone able to tell me how to spot the difference?

Fronts 8" x 18 et 52...rear 10" x18 et 65........the speedlines with the smaller centre hole are normally a Speedline Alesio wheel...(consider I cannot actually see your wheels!)

remember these wheels cost between £850-1500 to refurb 4, depending on where you go and the finish you choose.

As Clubsport says, the fronts are 8J x 18 ET 52 and the rears are 10J x 18 ET 65. If they were unrefurbished original wheels the offset (i.e. 52 and 65) would be etched on the polished outer rim next to the valve stem, but any refurb that removed the 'Speedline for Porsche' etching would also remove the offset info.

What wouldn't be removed from an original wheel by a refurb is the Porsche part no that is part cast and part stamped into the rear face of one of the spokes. On a pukka wheel this should read:

on a front wheel: 993 362 136 81

on a rear wheel: 993 362 140 81.

I hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure the Alesio wheels can be identified by having slightly elongated lug holes whereas the Speedline for Porsche wheels have round holes.
