Speedometer transmitter

Anyone got a spare speedo transmitter that they would sell or swap as my speedo isn't working and I think it could be this that's knackered.

Is your odometer (mileage indicator) working, on mine it was even when the speedometer stopped.
On my car the speedometer would occasionally stop working and then start again after a few miles. I replaced the speedometer unit with another and
everything went back to normal working.
The transmitter is located on top of the diff/gearbox unit and I suspect would be a pig to change - I don't think its accessible from underneath and could
not see an access point in the boot floor.

Its actually quite easy to change. There is space to un plug the wires and then unscrew the sender, but I'd agree that the head unit is also a possibility

I've had the transmitter unit off. It's really easy to remove,I've also tried taking the speedo out of the dash and giving it a clean. But still no joy.
