Speedometer working intermittently

My speedometer has started to work intermittently between 0-30 PMH, over that speed it seems to be OK.

Anyone know what this could be and/or where I can get it refurbished as I want to keep the originals which I have had professionally converted to white dials

Cheers

I had a problem with my speedo working intermittently (although unlike yours, it was either working properly or not at all) due to a faulty sender unit on the transmission. There's a good chance it's the same on your car, in which case the speedo remains untouched. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the replies.

I'll have the sender unit checked, if that's only then I'll give J D O Instruments a call

Cheers

I had the same problem with my 1987 3.2 Carrera Cab.
Spoke to Simon at Hillcrest and he asked me to check whether the odometer was clocking up the miles, if so then its the speedometer's needle sticking. His suggestion was to use the car more so I took it on a 1400 mile trip to Spain, no problem since!
If no miles being clocked then its a sensor that has to be replaced.
