For the last few years Lynn and I have been supporting the Spirit of Africa Charity at several events.
Spirit of Africa is a locally run charity which is building and supporting an orphanage and School in Africa, for more information please see here.
For the last few years we have been attending the annual charity ball and each year the PCGB contingent has been growing. Last year we had three tables of PCGB R3 members and I think it is fair to say that everyone had a great time.
This years ball is on the 18th November at the Gosforth Marriot. The tickets are £40 for which you get a pre meal drink, a 3 course meal and then disco, with a few fun games thrown in around it. The dress code is black tie or lounge suit for the gents and a ball or cocktail gown for the ladies.

I believe there may be a few rooms available at a reduced rate if you fancy staying at the Marriot, however these are on a first come first served basis. Click here for more details and booking.
