split in rear screen!!!!!

After a year of ownership and paranoia about putting the roof up and down (making the girlfriend get out every time to give it a careful fold) I have got a little split in my rear screen! Paragon have quoted me about 350 plus VAT. Any advice? Does this sound like a good price or does anyone know or have experience of using anybody else? I can't believe it cracked. I am soooo fussy about putting the roof down. I guess it was just too cold an evening to drive with the roof down.

Stratstones in Wilmslow charge about the same.

Someone suggested Trimania in Reading previously, but unsure as to what came of it.

If you want to cure it permanently then try the glass replacement hood from bas international bas int'l

Tower Porsche on Druid Steer near Tower Bridge did mine for about £200. I too was super careful about getting out and folding it each time (you have to explain to us how you managed to git your girlfriend to do it each time....) but I fear that however careful you are, the window is probably only "lifed" for about 4 or 5 years.

Thanks Dapstar for your advice. Here's a quick answer from my girlfriend....It's worth me getting out of the car to fold the roof down because I get to drive the car! He must love me lots as he has added me to the insurance, although he doesn't let me out on my own in it... can't think why!

Have a look at this thread on Boxanet if you want to eliminate the boxster chop forever

Hope you haven't told your girlfriend that your insurance is slightly cheaper for adding her on the policy and that is the only reason she is on it? [;)]
