has anyone fitted a 968 split rear seat into a 944? i have a cs one that i am going to put in and it looks like i will have to make a section for the hinge to slot into. does anyone know if i can buy one of these seperately or were they part of the body in the 968?
thanks

The centre hinge of the split folding rears on the 944 is held in place by two threaded studs that are a part of the body.
I suppose it depends on the year of your car as to wether the studs are there or not.

The Club Sport didn't have a split rear seat - it didn't have a rear seat at all. I'm confident of this because I owned one in 1994 and I have a carpet covered fiberous board (so-called 'rear seat delete') trim from a CS in my track car now (which has a cut-out in it for the split seat bracket). I also have a split 968 seat back here, which appears to be identical to the split seat used in later 944s. From this I'd conclude that the bracket from any later split-seat 944 can be used.
