Split rear seats required

I recently purchased an interior from a 968 cab to complete my 968 conversion but as you know the rear seat uppers are not right for a standard Lux. I am looking for the rear seat uppers in blue leather or some rough ones that i can have reupholstered. I have plenty of 944 parts so willing to pay or do a swap if any are available.

Will upper seats work straight in a 944?
It seems to me the 944 rear seat, possibly even the shell, would have to be modified in the central area so the two uppers seats can be attached to it.
