Splitting a Split Rim Alloy

Hello
Have not posted for a long time.
Am about to attempt to split my GT3 alloys before taking them for powder coating.
The powder coater won't split them.
Am soaking the 12 point torx head bolts for a few days before attempting to undo them evenly/diagonally.
The outer rims are delaminating and quite badly corroded - the inner (spoke) sections are like new.
Has anyone done this and got any advice?
Thanks
Hugh

As I understand it...The bolts can only be used once and have to be replaced when the wheel is disassembled. Oh and they are not cheap.

It also says you shouldn't reuse brake calipers bolts etc. However, is this overkill and an attempt to ensure you always buy new wheels at a cost of over £2500 I think for the split rim gt3 wheels. I spoke to a local refurbishment company who told me they are more than happy to split them. I am looking to get mine done. However, I want to keep safe as this is my number one priority but does anyone else in the know, know what the truth is with regards to splitting these wheels or has anyone already done so, thanks
