spoiler control unit - how much?

further to my 'spoiler not working' post I've found the wiring to be fine, both micro-switches are fine, motor works, interior switch is okay, so it must be control unit. Any ideas where is't located and how much of my dwindling reserve it's likely to cost?
I'm guessing it's physically and financially inaccessible.

From memory if you look under your glovebox, you should see a silver control unit (with a 964 part number)... as to how much they cost I couldn't tell you

It can't be difficult to find a used one .
I would start by removing the circuit board from the spoiler module to see if there are any broken contacts especially around the relays.

Agreed,are you getting the warning light up when you go over 50ish? if your not then it is disconected.
 
I replaced the fixed spoiler lid on my C2S for the split kidney grille lid around 18 months ago. All of the wiring required had been installed when the car was built, but the spoiler control unit wasn't. I purchased a second hand one from Ramus Porsche in West Bromwich for £50.00. I had Sutton Porsche install it, as it is located up behind the glove box in the nearside foot well. As far as I can remember, it is fastened to the car on a bridge type bracket, by two plastic wing nuts.
