Sport Design Wheels

Damn!

Kerbed one yesterday - ironically at my OPC!

Took out a small chip - looks awful.

Can they be fixed?
Do I replace?
Do I buy a set of Sport Techs? (I hope to buy a 997 C4 in July 2005)

Like the name, will you call yourself Spizz Energy at some later date?
Sorry, totally irrelavent to thread!

I feel for you, it's a bad day when the pride & joy gets a bash, mine was pebble dashed by a passing biker last year B*#*er.
It's easy to get the wheels refurbished, just ask your OPC to recommend a dealer, it's not even that expensive, but if it was me I'd leave it. Re-laquered/painted wheels never seem to last in my experience, although they should last a year ok if you are changing soon. Having said this I only have experience of having this done on two non-Porkers, so I'm happy to be proved wrong if any one else has had a successfull long term repair. Once you have lived with it for a few weeks you won't even see it any more.
Yours in sympathy.

I've suggested one place you might get them sorted in the 996 MOT thread on the Scotland Forum. If you want more you might get a better result asking on the Boxa.net forum than here: they seem to be more active.

Hi Spizz,

If you haven't tried already get a quote from your local 'Chips Away' fanchise. The delivery driver dinged my wifes alloys last year and CA did a fantastic job for about £50 if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks Guys - just back from two weeks' break.

Being neurotic, I think that I will replace the wheel and refurb the damaged one and sell it.

Ebay, do you think?

Spizz

PS Flaming Eye - was thinking about rebranding as Spizz Skiing '04. What do you think?
