Sport eksoss to my 996 3,6

Hey.

Need help :) I have a 996 Targa, 3.6 L 2002 model and want sport eksoss to my 996

Have come across used Dansk Autopart 96.3000SGT3 (Rear sport exhaus set), but it is designed to GT3.

What I wonder is how a GT3 exhauspott will work on a standard engine?

Is there anything that has idea how it will work? Do not want one exhaust system that produces too much noise, but highlights flat 6 sound

Thank :)

Arne!

The GT3 uses the same mounting brackets and clamps as the 3.4 996, so I think they would fit. The internals of the silencer will be different, and I have no idea how it would sound.

Why not get the Dansk Sporst silencers for the 996? Or if your silencers are in good condition, then think about the bypass modification.

Hi Everyone,

Ive been trying to find someone to do the "muffler mod" but the response Ive had from 2 Midlands specialists is......."oh, we've stopped doing that, its too much work and we can sell you a new etc etc...". Does anyone know an exhaust specialist in the Derby, Coventry, Birmingham area that would do the mod?

Thanks for the idea bypass modification and will check it up.

Must have more sound from my flat 6 :)

Thanks

How about zorstec up north for the bypass mod. Otherwise I have a place in London what does it for 200 pounds all inc. the place is called style Dynamix in Hayes, middx

Thanks Rhkumar, I'll have a look at your two suggestions. Even if I have to fire up the sat nav and find my way into London (do northerners need a passport?) at ~£200, its worth a tank of petrol and still be half what my local guys are quoting for new sports mufflers.
Regards
Wills
