Sport tailpipes

Just a bit of info that might help…

I think the PSE system is standard on everything from the S upwards.

on the 2020 model which I had the PSE came standard on the base level cayman.

personally I wouldn’t worry about it. I felt the sound difference was so small on the base level cayman that I never used to have the button on anyway.

but yes the sports exhaust tailpipes are just cosmetic as far as I know

Hi all,

New member here! This might be a silly question. I'm thinking of just getting there Sport Tailpipes for the Cayman rather than the PSE system.

Am I right in thinking if I just go for the sport tailpipes it's just for aesthetic look and it won't change the sound of the exhaust?

Thanks in advance.

On my R i had the original tarnished PSE tips replaced with the Techart black tips really for cosmetic purposes as I felt they matched to black of the rear spoiler.

Another way to look at it is that you would need those sport tail pipes should you ever go for the full PSE in the future. That's what I done, sold the old tail pipes to claw some of the money back and then 4 months later fitted the PSE.
