Sport Techno alloy. supplier..?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any ideas where I might be able to source a new Sport Techno 20" partial black alloy at more palatable price than my local OPC's quote of over £1,800?

Oddly enough, although the flat spot I've somehow managed to pick up on one of the front wheels looked fairly severe on inspection, I can't feel any vibration at all (even at motorway speeds) and would never have known about if it hadn't been pointed out by the OPC at service time. I'm wary of going down the repair route given the potential for weakening the alloy.

Have you actually spoken to a reputable wheel refurbisher for some informed advice? You may be surprised what can be done safely. Given the high cost of a new wheel it would be worth a try.

Yes, I took it to my local specialist repairer (who do have a good reputation for quality work) and whilst happy to attempt a repair, they actually steered me away from this, given the perceived risk of weakening the wheel due to the extent of the repair required.

Neither my OPC nor the repairer have said that the wheel in its current state is a safety issue.

I thought I’d sent you a DM but I can’t see that it’s sent. I have a set of unused 20” porsche sport techno wheels I’d like to sell. GT4 offsets. They do not have the black contrasts but are all silver. Also have 5 year old unused Michelin Alpin 4s on them. £1k for the set if you want them. please send me a direct message if interested.
