Sports Chrono option - different question!

I have just noticed with the side or driving lights on there is no light on my chrono dial. Is that correct?

A small matter, but as it gets darker earlier I am driving more with my lights on and this darkened gauge is gnawing away at my neo-buddhist calm.

It only lights up when the timing is being used, at allother times inluding when the sopts button is activated there is no illumination.

As above its not normally illuminated unless in operation, however your dealer can select the option where it is illuminated with your lights.
Great until you see how much of a reflection it generates in your windscreen [;)]. Try it you'll be surprised, I certainly was and ended up leaving it as is.

Thanks for pre-empting and answering a question I would have probably thought of in due course.

As anyone actually used the lap timer on track days? How good is it in practice?

I have tried it on the road and find it too fiddly to stop / start. To me the act of pushing rather than pulling the stalk is not natural and therefore takes too much of my mind off the road. It perhaps could be worse on the track, although a start/ finish straight should not have too many hazards crossing a line.

Same as most things if you don't use it alot you fail to remember how to use it correctly...

I quietly tried it on a trackday just to see how it worked, I think I only pressed the stalk the correct way once...
As Mark says there alot of other things to concentrate on at the time.. I'm sure the regular track day hero's manage it, but us mere mortals [:(] .....[;)]
