Sports Exhuast?

I really enjoy driving my 2001 2.7 Boxster but it is a little "quiet" (compared even to my 924S which has a ss exhuast) unless you hit higher revs then it sounds ok. I was wondering whether a sports exhaust would be a good idea? I don't want something that is going to give me a head ache and get me stopped by the police, just something that sounds a little more sporty. Also I'm not really bothered about increased power (just puts your insurance premium up) just a better sound.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 3.2 2001 with a Tequipment sports exhaust. I think the sound is amazing! It's certainly not too loud, but lets you know you do have throaty engine in there.

Hi,

I fitted a Janspeed stainless steel back box, superb note at lower revs but not that much louder at 80mph. a good all rounder.

Tubi have just introduced a replacement in the last few weeks - I will witness the real thing in 2 weeks on the way to the 'ring and I will report back.
By all accounts, it 'booms' at low rev's 700 - 1800 rpm, but above 6k it screams !

Past experience, before I got it right, the boom was between 2200-3000rpm an area one finds themselves in a lot when in 4th 5th or 6th gear [:-]
