Hi all. Despite asking my local OPC l’ve not bee in able to indentify whether a sports suspension kit l’ve been offered will fit my 996. It’s from my brother in law who worked for Lancaster Porsche in Colchester so is OE. I’ve attached a photo of the kit box and hopefully someone my be able to help. I don’t know whether a 997 kit will fit a 996 anyway.
Thanks for any help

That is indeed a Sports Suspension kit, the -08 kit you have there is for a C4 Coupe with a manual, worth noting C4 suspension will not fit a C2 as the front shocks and springs are a different design. As you mentioned having a tiptronic you would technically need the same part number but with -20 at the end not -08. But the tipronic kit costs almost 3 times the price of the manual kit and the only real difference is the rear spring rate and shocks are slightly different to account for the extra 55kg at the rear on the tiptronic. If it's a good deal it's worth getting, even if you want to buy rear springs specifically for the tip it would still work out cheaper than the tipronic kit and a lot of us are happy to buy shocks and spring which just state they are for a 996 not differentiating between models as the difference in the real world and certainly on the street is negligible.

Thanks for a great response. Mines a C2 so no good to me. l‘ll see if it’s up for general sale and maybe post.
Thanks again
