Ok I am going to refurb my calipers and possibly repaint them in red. Did anyone get the cheap spot blaster from the Aldi deal that I may borrow for the price of posting????

PS will post all pics and how to in Technical articles.

Hi Rob. I bought the spot blaster with the intention of doing my calipers too!

I'll have to check when I'm available, but I'm sure I could lend it you for a ride in your car!

Rob

Feel free to come and use mine at the workshop and then you could write a piece for PP perhaps mentioning us

cheers Elliot

Guys thanks for the offers. I had one off today and actually found the splot baster wasn't that necessary. I did a test refurb on one caliper today and it went very well. The caliper responded well to a good wire brushing and a rub down to key it for paint. A quick 1st coat with the brush then a top coat with my spray equipment at work. I hate my job sometimes [:D] I have opted for red to go with the paintwork and I have to say the results are quite stunning. Will post some pics tonight when I get home in my Caliper Plate thread. Elliot I have been taking pics as I go for the purpose of putting a technical article together. It really isn't rocket science but you will need knowhow and tools should you get stuck on the plate screws. All of which you have mate. simdel1 the car is off the road sorn for a short while to give me a chance to refurb the calipers in slow time and a few other cosmetic bits. After that you are welcome for a spin anytime. Just waiting on some new screws to get the refurbed plates and gate spring back in. Not fair just want to get it reassembled and fitted!!!!
