They pop up on ebay rarely. The company that made them must have stopped making them as they are rare as rocking horse droppings and i've not found anywhere that sells them new. You can get a transparent sticky-back film which claim to be protectors but they wont be as good as the ones you've got, but maybe you could use the trasparent film over your cracked protector to add a bit of strength.

oh bugger!

what make are they then do you know? ill try keep a eye for some but im a skint porsche owner so i dont see me being able to afford some.

When i say the others cracked, its cracked and half of the bottom of it is missing..

*not impressed*

[:(]

Suppose i could have ago at vac forming some as theyre not exactly a hard shape.

Have to pop back into college though sometime. [8|]

I remember looking for a pair about 18months ago and gave up because I couldn't find anyone that sold them. I did see a pair up on ebay around that time but stopped bidding when they got to about £80!! I can't recall if I tried Porsche-a-part or not, but I tried all the other usual places.

Heres the sticky back film ones I've mentioned...

cheers scott, doesnt look like ill get any then

Saw those stick on things abit ago, and to be honest im from yorkshire which means i refuse to pay that much for stick on plastic so id cut my own out.

However im gonna make a mould and have ago at vac forming some covers like the originals that came off, If i can succeed then ill let you know [;)]

Yes please, you are looking at a tidy sum for replacement units so any cost effective means of protecting them should go down well.

You can get a transparent sticky-back film

What about calling into your local window film company and asking for an offcut of `bomb film`

This is applied to windows in London (and elsewhere) I assume. Cut it out, warm up a bit with hairdryer and install with fairy liquid (Needs a smooth surface) just like a transfer etc??

A stone will not smash through that I`m positive.

I got a pair , off e-bay, from Porschapart...I seem to think they were aprox £35 ish,, thats 18 months ago...
Only snag is i dont think theyve got any more left ..
It was an Aussie company that made them..
Ill have a route to see if i can find the web address...

It may be worth seeing if Richard Marsden does them, or could make a mould? From memory it's www.protocast.com or similar. His clear front and rear lenses are top quality.
