Spring Clean - Part 1

Thought it about time I gave the car a good jet wash and scrub underneath, so :-

1. First get my wife's Fiat jet washed - didn't take too long
2. Move Porsche on to driveway and .....

.... the jet wash decides to pack up. Oh well, life must go on so out with the brush and bucket of hot soapy water and the trusty hose.

Having jacked the car up and removed the wheels, I spent some hours just doing the nearside (drivers for me being a LHD) - the offside will have to wait until next weekend.

I removed loads of crud and must say thatI am very pleased with the result so far. No sign of any rust, and the dirty black metal has been replaced with clean dark blue painted metal.

Question - was the underneath painted as per the body as mine seems to be ?

If not, then perhaps I have cleaned away some protective black layer !!!!

Couple of pics for you attached.
