Spring Fling - Sunday 25th March (run out)

As this Sunday is the first day of Spring I’m thinking of taking a run out (also due to the fact that my wife and daughter are off on a shopping trip to Leeds on Sunday and I may not be able to make Clear away the Cobwebs the week later).

Plan is a Figure of 8 starting from and ending at Starbucks at Hexham Services.

Will be leaving at 09:30 heading through Alston, over Hartside and down to Langwathby; then heading up to Warwick Bridge for Cake and Coffee at Sally’s for 11:00 when they open.

Leave there about 11:45 and head back to Alston via Brampton before continuing to Middleton in Teesdale. Any “southerners” can peel off there if they wish and head back towards Darlington whilst we head back North via Stanhope and Blanchland to get back to Hexham for about 13:45

If you fancy coming then please add your name to this thread and meet at Starbucks from 09:00 ready for a 09:30 departure.

THE CLOCKS GO FORWARD ON SUNDAY MORNING!!! - If you turn up at ”09:00” and there’s no-one there then you’ve not changed your watch, head straight to Sally’s and meet us there at 11:00 (Or 10:00 as your watch will say). Conversely, if you turn up and it’s still dark then you’ve changed your watch the wrong way ;)

We're in London for the weekend otherwise would have joined you on Sunday. Hope the sun shines and keeps the roads dry for everyone. Glad you tipped us off about the clocks though, don't want to miss breakfast!

Sorry, we'll be at the Practical Classic & Resto Show, but I'm sure there'll be some takers.

Great to see an impromptu run popping up on the forum so early in the season. First of many I hope.

As I will be working at Sally's. I will see you there. Hope the weather is favourable. 944 may have gone to the bodyshop . For sills not hypoallergenic organically gathered wart shrinking gell or whatever they sell.

HI Dave,

Probably see you at Sally's as we have a table booked for 12 noon as we are heading up to Scotland for a few days. Won't be on the Porker though.

Will see you at Sally’s then Mark(s)!

Don‘t be shy if your Porsche isn’t on the road yet - out of the 3 people who’ve been in touch, I may be the only one in a Porsche!

No worries Dave but I'll be watching F1 so can't make it that early. See you there.

Unfortunately unable to attend - have a day out on a pushbike with a group on a route with a couple of tough climbs.

Have a good day.

Regards

Mike
