Spyder battery mystery

The Ctek chargers have four or five different modes, Motorbike/Car/AGM/Recon etc. if it inadvertently got switched to the wrong mode it will not have been maintaining your battery very well. Maybe?

Well that should be ok then. I think they require about 14.4V to charge properly.

You might just measure the voltage when on charge?

I started my 718 Spyder today and it was sluggish to turn over and had Battery Protection displayed on the Dash. It has been on a Cetek trickle charger set at car and AGM, all winter and all the lights on that were on. Could the car have stopped accepting the charge?

Here’s a typical online quote Lawrence:

With the engine off, the fully charged car battery voltage will measure 12.6 volts. This is known as “resting voltage.” When the engine is running, battery voltage will typically rise to 13.5 to 14.5 volts. The battery is boosted to these higher levels by the alternator.

If the battery’s charging OK then it could be that there’s a problem with a cell. A reputable battery supplier should be able to check this for you, usually FOC.
