Squeak from drivers window

Hi guys, recently my drivers side window has started squeaking when its almost at the the bottom being wound down or when it almost hits the top when wound up. I'm fairly sure there's not a mouse trapped so any ideas? I have changed the regulator so I'm wondering if its worth putting a bit of 3 in 1 on the steel cable that's on show inside the door.
