Squeaks in interior

After reading the recent posts on squeaks of the windscreen I thought to myself that some squeaks in interior has the same nature... One panel is rubbing against the other... Does anyone know if there is a product for leather interiors that can treat those squeaks the way the windscreen is cured (i.e. by applying some sort of lubrificant in between the panels)?

I wondered the same thing. I'm thinking about some Mr. Sheen: It's got silicone in it and can be used for curring squeaks on doors, drawers etc. You would just spray some onto a cloth and wipe it on. No too sure about the leather, but any plastic areas (like the sunrooff) should work.

The other thing to try might be Vaselene I suppose.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers,

Chris

I found a company in Germany which is called LIP Antifriction Coatings. They are specialized in making coatings to eliminate squeaks in car leather upholstery and other trim (as far as I understand - PTFE based)... I am in contact with them now to identify the correct product. As soon as I get it I will let you know the result...

I also found on e-net "2000 ways to use WD-40" and they mentioned that it can also be used on leather to eliminate squeaks.. I did not try it yet though

Hi Ach

Did you get anywhere with this? Very interested in what they recommended as I too have some interior leather squeaks.

Thanks
Mark
