Squeaky belts?

Now the weather is colder I have just noticed what I can only describe as a squeaky belt noise coming from the engine belt area. Is this likely to be the case or could it be a dry bearing? As I have A/C there are 3 belts so it makes it difficult to diagnose.
Do I need to worry, should I spray anything onto the belts, should I be worried?

Taking it that you've already checked the condition of the belts and their tension, you can get spray on belt conditioner from any good motor factor. Or industrial supplier such as RS Supplies if you have access.[:D]

[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Squeaky (or if you mean screeching) belt, then adjust tension - they, or one, are probably slipping. If you dab the throttle and the screeching increases or changes pitch etc then definitely slipping belt(s)

Bearings will sound knackered if you do the old screwdriver stethoscope test - minding your hair or tie...

Interesting one this as I have a similar thing, but I do not think it is the belts. I have a sort of squeak/whistle at around 1200/1300 rpm but the belts aren't loose and it occurs all year round.

Any ideas?

Thanks for input all. Have checked condition and tension of belts, all ok. Took it down to my maintenance man who just sprayed something into the tiny gap at the end of the aircon pump pulley assembly, problem solved. Apparently talc powder will also do.
