Squeaky roof

Now the colder/wetter weather has arrived, I am finding myself driving with the roof up after 6 months of open top motoring.

The roof has an annoying squeak over poor quality roads which is worse than our Mini Convertible over the same road.

Doesn't seem right to me but would be interested in comments from other 997 or 996 Cabriolet drivers
 
I have had several cabs and all have some squeek which as far as I can tell is related to the rubber seal at the hood frame. My latest (and greatest) 997 cab has the same. I foind that lowereing and raising the window once does help. A bit of silicone on the rubber may help. The current hood is much less sqeaky than the 2 996 cabs I had before. Still today there is blue sky so enjoy going topless.
