Squealing

I have a 911 that has new pads (done a few thousand ago by OPC Bolton), squeals like you wouldn't believe...would they perhaps not have renewed the anti squeal shims? It's really embarassing to be honest.. any ideas on how to resolve (before I go back to the OPC ) I bought the car recently so my OPC is Reading, although I hear Wrightune is a good place to go?Can I do something myself to stop it?

Bolton OPC have changed both rear discs and pads and more recently front discs and pads on mine. Rears have done about 15000 miles now and the front 4000 miles. I've never had a single squeal.

OK guess I'll have to go to the OPC and see what they say then, unless I jsut go to a good indie like Wrightune..

So I take the car to Wrightune today and although the OPC (Bolton) had replaced the pads all round (and new disks on the rear) they didn't put the anti squeal shims (Porsche call them someting else, I can't remember what) in there?! Tony at Wrightune had the front ones which he put in and I go back tomrrow for the rears as he didn't have themn and the car still squealed. I hope that cures it - if not we'll have to do some more investigation. I'll let you know.
How come as I am a PCGB member the web doesnt show me as one??

Sounds like you need to send a stiff letter to OPC Bolton threatening legal action if they don't pay for a) your costs at Wrighttune and b) your time spent in rectifying the issue ...
