squealling / scraping noise frmo wheels

a friend of my has a boxter and after pressure washing the wheels gets a scrapping /squealing noise from the wheels.
After a bit of driving and braking it goes away.
Its happened twice now and the only common link is the washing.
Any idea what damage a pressure washer could do to cause this?

he has replaced all the wheel bearings last year (could they be damaged so quickly?).

Light rust on the disks most likely (after the washing), which is rubbed off after a bit of driving.

I have had the same problems; a drive and a firm and, perhaps, frequent application of the brakes cures the problem almost at once. IMO there is nothing to worry about unless you wash the car and then leave it for several days.
