I have squeeks coming from the offside roof edge which stops when I press my hand up against it. I used silicon spray on the joints and it helped. I have found the offside tension rope is broken and wonder if this could be the root cause, presumably it has a tensioning function. Anyone got any thoughts please?
Rope has broken at the roof edge, ie the top end, at the point where the rope (really wire) joins a metal end piece. How does the rope attach to the roof? Is is a simple unscrew job and screw in a replacement, or is it a serious bit of work? Thoughts and advice would be very welcome please.
