I am looking for a quality 1970 to 73,lhd,non sunroof car.Preferably a 2.4s.
Not worried what condition engine and box is in,but the shell must be sound, ideally a ex warm climate car.
Wishing to build a st replica to race, would consider a part project,or complete car.

Hi Paul,

Have a word with Chris Sargent at GCR. He has a completely prepped shell (acid dipped, cage etc) that I had a look at a couple of weeks ago that might be suitable. You can get him on: 0116 283 2211.

Simon.

Edit - just remembered that it was RHD though!

Thanks for this,it needs to be lhd idealy.
will give him a call though, the cage would need to be period item,or no cage,so that i can fit my own.

Hmm, it probably won't be what you are looking for then. It has a pretty comprehensive multipoint weld-in cage fitted. Give him a call anyway he's always helpful and runs several early cars in the classic series so may be able to track something down for you.

Simon.

Orange STish car on Ebay states 2.7 engine but the engine number is a 2.4E and looks to be in the picture.
I would look at the numbers carefully to make sure it is the 2.4S that the chassis number states and that it hasnt been crashed as it looks like it may have been a race car at some point.

The other Ebay 1970 car I sold to the seller it was minus engine and gearbox and was totally solid apart from rust in the bottom of the doors.

The bloke (David) who's bought the following www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7633 might be interested in selling the shell. He's going to 're-shell' it into a RHD car . . . so the LHD shell could had for £3,500 (he tells me).

Let me know if you want more info, preferably by replying to this post (as struggling to get into hotmail).

Phil

Thanks for your help with the search, the bonhams car would have made a nice conversion, looked the same colour as my st ivory white.
Thanks for the email about your car dave,i will come back to you about it.

Thanks for the link,i have been out to see sprintline, nearly purchased the white car,but searched history, big accident at the ring, gearbox no ltd slip diff and engine is supposed to be fresh, but no receipts or invoices to prove this.It would also still need correct st rear arches, looks like sc or rs arches thats been hammered out a little!
the red st rep is sold , at just short of 100k euros! This is a nice car, twin sparker, fia papers etc

Thanks for the links,i am still waiting to hear from them ,they have had there first meeting to select some cars,so fingers crossed!
