My baby has had a bit of a trauma; lost a cambelt tensioner on the A2 at 4000rpm[]. Having recovered her to the front lawn, I have stripped her of both manifolds, airbox, cam covers, throttle, etc. The valves I can see all appear to be okay but time will tell. The biggest problem has been the number of original (read corroded) fixings that have been reluctant to leave the engine bay. Given that I plan to restore the old girl to her former glory, does anyone know a reliable source for stainless fixings for the engine and ancillaries? Any info much appreciated.
