STAINLESS STEEL HEAT EXCHANGERS

New member
Hi, any advice and previous experiences gladly received. I have an 89 3.2 which I replaced the standard steel exhaust with a standard fit
stainless steel one two years ago. The heat exchangers are now ready to be replaced. The two makes I have researched are Dansk and SSI.
There is a difference of about £600 for the pair, what do people think, worth it or not, or does anybody have any other recommendations.
Thanks for any suggestions

Simon

Simon have just bought a pair of Dansk ss heat exchangers if you want to have a look at them I can bring them up to next month's meeting. Paid £360 for them.

Dansk are a known quality product and I don't think you can go wrong there.

Other options are to have the likes of Turbo Thomas or Hayward & Scott make you up a set - check the Impact Bumper forum for several threads on this topic

I went with a complete Dansk system last year. Overall I thought it was the best value for money, and the quality is excellent. I did consider SSIs carefully, but the extra cost is substantial, and as Matthew says, a lot of modification to backdate the oil lines and heating system. No doubt the SSIs sound nicer, but a lot of £££ per dB. In retrospect I wish I had been more adventurous and got a sports silencer though.

Just on ebay at the right time and offered £360 for the pair[:)]. She had 3 to sell, been looking for a long time [8|]

Thanks for all the replies. I must admit all the extra work for the SSIs did seem a bit OTT.

MR FORD you did well with that purchase and I will take you up on the offer of a butchers at the next meet.

Thanks again for all the advice

Cheers Simon.

Simon I will bring them to the meeting.
by the way if you have a look at Euro parts try a discount code LASTCHANCE30
It may work

I fitted a complete DANSK sport system last year after my top end overhaul and paid £1100 the reason being that a
customer had paid a large deposit and never come back ,not bad for a full stainless system.

I will give Euro Car Parts a ring.

Cheers Guys
