Stainless steel mufflers

Has anyone fitted a DesignTek stainless sports silencer to their Boxster and was it worth the expense.
Not cheap at £1000 for the one I am looking at.
 
The only thing you'd have to consider is the reasoning for doing it. If you're looking for a performance gain, then great. But if you're just looking for added sound with the new look, then there's something much, much cheaper. The bypass modification is only about £150 to do (including parts, labour and VAT) and gives the car the PSE sound instantly. You can then machine polish the back box while it's off the car to give its stainless steel effect.

And then, you'd have a polished back box that gives an incredible sound for around £150. Just an option, but it's all about what you want out of it.
