Stainless Steel replacement Exhaust

The time is approaching for the rear exhaust on my 3.2 Carrera to be changed. The replacement would benefit by being stainless steel and hopefully creating a little more HP but without the driver and passenger having to wear ear defenders.
Has anyone any suggestions? When it comes to gleaning good solid information the place to go is our "Forum" as I am sure there are many members who had good bad and ugly experiences. Thanks guys.
Just as an aside I have been looking for a slightly dished leather steering wheel (380mm, in keeping) for the same vehicle. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Hi.
When I had a 3.2 Carrera which to be honest was a long time ago I had a stainless Dansk back box from euro car parts I was very happy with it regards price sound performance.
But I am sure others will be along soon maybe the games moved on.
Cliff.

Names that spring to mind are Dansk, SSI (now also made by Dansk), Hayward & Scott and Turbo Thomas - but there are many others I'm sure. Get yourself onto the Impact Bumpers forum where you'll find a wealth of experience, knowledge - and opinion. Turbo Thomas is a favourite on there as he will tune your exhaust to your requirements and he's the first one I'll turn to when I need to replace mine.

I spent far too long researching this topic, listening to clips etc, in the end I spoke to Turbo Thomas and got an SS one in one out muffler and a straight through pre muffler. Together I got the sound I wanted, not droney but quite raspy when you floor it and climb the revs. It sounds fantastic.

As it happens I had to change the muffler as it's designed for an impact bumper 3.2, and as you may see I have backdated my 3.2 so it did not line up too well with the cut out in the rear valence. So it's for sale, happy to send some pics. Or even better if you are in the west berks area can meet up and you can hear what it sounds like.

I have also done the same Eddie. Trawled through countless web pages and You Tube videos. Ever so confusing so some photo's would be much appreciated along with cost. Thanks.

I've had Dansk on both of my 3.2 's . Good sound and quality. if you want a different sound to oem then go custom made as suggested above. Steering wheel wise, go Momo ?

Graham

ps. Eddie, love to see your car as I like the backdated look, where in West Berks are you?

Eddie,
Could you send me some photo's along with cost. Thanks.

I fitted a complete Dansk ss exstractor exhaust good sound and according to the power graph an estimated 10-15hp increase
