my headlight dip/main has failed again... stuck on main beam any ideas on how to sort... nead a new switch or can i take apart, how do i remove it?is there a common problem that is repairable

and if it has failed where would be the best place to get a replacement as they are £74 +vat new
 
Not an SC, but I did repair a overheated and melted stalk by using scrap plastic and a bit of ally for the pivot and welding it in using a soldering iron. Worked fine for 50,000 miles and looked untouched.

Can be very fiddly, but not impossible.
