I have just managed to get my cover on for the third year running in the usual fashion: try it one way round, fail, and then try it the other way round!

Depends on the cover though, I guess. Mine is a cotton/muslin fabric, bought from the guy who advertises in Porsche Post and the Mercedes Gazette. It is "made to measure" ie the same shape as the hardtop. The tricky bit is to get the cover down over the "haunches" of the rear window. It seems to go on the opposite way to what you expect.

Ah. Yes. This question vexed me greatly this time last year. [&:]

If it's the Tequipment stand & cover - and the collapsible stand, not the fancy one with space to keep a spare set of wheels (hello?) - then the hardtop goes in with the edge that (on the car) is rearmost at the botom. So the front of the hardtop with the latch is at the top. The hardtop rests on the stand with the outer surface against the little pads that are stuck to the uprights.

Then, the Porsche cover goes on with the logo on the outside surface of the hardtop, but upside down. Yes, upside down. It only goes on the right way up if you have the posh stand.

The hardtop is on the car at the moment, else I'd take a quick snap for you. [:(]

If you find a neat way to put it all together then please let me know. Last year I bodged it and lost a couple of pounds worrying that I was going to knock it over. This year, I'm planning to lay out the cover on the drive and place the hardtop over it, then zip it up. Except that I've just realised that the zips will then be underneath. []

Maybe I'll try draping the cover strategically over the stand instead.

Anyhow, do let me know how you get on!
