I have a set of exhausts for a 997 (gen1) for sale. These were removed from my car after doing about 8000 miles when I had a sports exhaust fitted.

Can be collected from Barnet.

Offers please.

I have my OEM 997 Turbo exhaust sitting in my garage right now.

I never considered selling it as I couldn't think why anyone else would want to buy it (unless their stock one fell apart after 2 years when the warranty ran out).

So I am curious as to whether you get any joy trying to sell your stock exhaust.

To me the only reason to keep it is if you want to put it back on as stock to then resell the whole car, and then sell the sports exhaust separately.

my thoughts exactly alex-with regards to my standard cayman s wheel -which i received zero interest in!!i changed it for thivk sports wheel after 2k miles so it is almost brand new-i intend to refit it and try and sell sports steering wheel then.still may get no joy!!still,at least it was tax deductable!

The OPC would have no issues in reselling a 997 with sports exhaust fitted as its Porsche supplied, thus allowing you to gain valuable free space and monies from the old system.

A non Porsche fitment would be a different story, affecting the trade in value etc... thus I think Alex has done the right thing in keeping his OEM system.

I was originally going to put back the original exhaust but it is a hassle. I guess if somebody has had some rear end damage it the standard exhaust may be a cheap fix. I just couldn't bear leaving the old perfectly good exhaust at the OPC - I hope it finds a good home.
