Starter.....for 10 !

Just to let you all know, got the starter fixed last week on the car.......not without more drama, though.
Arrived at Roock in Leverkusen at 08:15, after a swift 2 hour blast up from Lux.
Borrowed a Smart roadster (embarrassing to admit, but great fun) from them & had a morning in Köln (Cologne).
After lunch, it was found the bolt into the gearbox from the starter was broken, so gearbox had to come out !
Disaster !? Not really, informed work I'd not be in on Tuesday & Vera booked me a hotel nearby for £50 B&B.
Then had a top class Italian dinner with the charming Angela Roock (Michael was in Majorca).
After a great meal with a barrage of fantastic Porsche stories, I was delivered back to my hotel......fantastic !
Collected the next morning for another treat......a 73/74 911RSR in blood orange parked outside the building, just back from the final detailing ! Worth the visit just to see the array of cars in stock & in preparation.
Got the car back at 2pm with a bill for just 8 hrs labour (well over 12 worked !).....another bonus.
After a swift open top drive back to Lux, it was clear the car's back on top form.
Life is again very sweet !
Best regards to all,
Jonny-Luxembourg
