Starting prob again

When i go to start the engine on my c2,i just get a small cough from the starter and then nothing.
Before this was intermittant, but friday and yesterday its not starting at all.
As suggested a few weeks ago i have fitted a new battery and DME Relay, but to no avail.
Sombody mentioned a alarm relay somewhere, could i have a reminder on that, the car had a pa2000 fitted about 3 years ago at a opc.
Also the main battery feed to starter connecter(starter end) broke off some time back and i had to crimp a new one on,i have checked the connection and it seems ok.
So all in all i am left with the starter itself????or is there anything else to check?
Cheers in advance Danny.[:D]

Hi,the starter just coughs as if its going to start cranking but then stops immediatly with nothing if i hold the key round,as if its jamming.Im going to get under this week and check the connections and wiggle them and tap the starter while the misses tries to crank the engine.[&:]
