Okay, I got a new DME relay - plugged it in and it fired up first time - then just died 2 miutes later...... This is how the problem started a coupe of weeks ago, I started the car and it died a couple of minutes later...... I have never had any probs before.

Could it be the alarm/imobilizer or the fuel pump itself? I know I am clutching at straws, but some of you guys may have had simular problems in the past

Cheers Rob

Hello

Have you tried checking or replacing the fuel filter. I once had a similar problem after getting a little low on fuel, changed the filter and now add a cleaner now and again to the fuel so far so good.

I will check the filter - thanks. I have a few things to check over the weekend and hopefully I will get it going again..... I just want to drive it! Can anyone recommend a good ind Porsche garage in the Lancs area (Preston/Blackpool) as it does need a service.

Cheers

Try Chris at Loe Bank Motors, Edenfield 01706 826060, he's ex Ian Anthony and been working onPorsches for years,

Rob It could be a lot of things fuel pump, crap in fuel , electrical etc, you need to check are you getting a spark at the plugs or is it fuel starvation
I would recommend getting the Bentley manual on our cars it will show you how to check all the components associated when running

Check the bulkhead connectors under the dash - make sure they are all firmly plugged in.
